APPOINTMENT OF CONSUL.
NOTICE
The Officer Adininistering the Government directs it to be notified for general information that MR. LELAND B. MORRIS has been temporarily appointed by the United States Government to the post of Consul-General at Jerusalem, pending the arrival of MR. GEORGE WADSWORTH, whose appointment was notified in the Palestine Gazette of the 30th January, 1936, and that MR. MORRIS has been pro- visionally recognised by His Excellency in that capacity pending the issue of His Majesty's Exequatur.

The acting appointment of MR. M. NUROCK, O.B.E., Assistant Secretary, Grade F, Sec- retariat, published in Palestine Gazette No. 569 of the 30th January, 1936, ceased with effect from the 5th February, 1936.

MR. F. G. HORWILL, to be Examiner of Banks, Treasury, with effect from the 16th Janu- ary, 1936.
MR. C. F. GEARON, Assistant Engineer (Mechan- ical) Grade K, Department of Public Works, to be Mechanical Engineer, with effect from the 18th January, 1936.
MR. H. A. M. DAVIES to be Junior Assistant Superintendent of Surveys, Grade K, De- partment of Lands and Surveys, with effect from the 20th January, 1936.
